When I first saw these HeartBeats I knew that I wanted them. I ordered the black ones with ControlTalk. I was kind of scared because there was mixed reviews on these earphones. When they got to my home, I was entranced by the box design and the headphone design. So, before I tried them I tried every earbud size it had. NONE FIT! I eventually went with the biggest ones. After about a week or two I FINALLY broke them in. And here's my opinion on the aspects of the headphones:

Bass: 4/5, Was kind of dissapointed with the bass. I wanted it to thump but...

Sound Quality: 5/5, It's good, you can hear a few sounds you didn't here before.

Durability 5/5, My family is kind of wild so the durability was important. So far, the have been through alot and only have a few scuffs and scratches so, I am pleased.

Looks: AMAZING, love the metallic triangular look.

Monster Cable: 3/5, I thought the company said tange free. THen why do I always ave to untangle?

Overall: 4/5, I love these but doubt these are even close to worth 150.

The Heartbeats headphones are absolutely worth every cent!!! The sound is crispy clear and the bass is absolutely amazing! It feels like I'm re-discovering all my music again!

Furthermore, they fit perfectly because of the multiple eartips provided. The ControlTalk remote works perfectly with iPod and Blackberry! The design of the cable is brilliant! It really doesn't tangle...so no more frustrations sorting out the cables!

And on top of that...you'll look absolutely cool with the Heartbeats headphones!

Important Monster® Performance and Safety Tips

Listen Responsibly

To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on your music player is turned down before connecting your headphones. After placing headphones in your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB), exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss.

Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it. Refer to the chart* below.

This decibel (dB) table compares some common sounds and shows how they rank in potential harm to hearing.
