Comments about Monster MIDI Cable:
My Behringer cable tester indicates that pin #2 on these cables are not connected, thus they do not work with any MIDI capable equipment. After taking the first cable back, and asking if I could test the replacement in the store, I got home to discover the second cable had the same issue. According to the Monster people, they constructed the cables according to the MIDI spec, but none of them work with my system. I went back to "regular" MIDI cables and had no issues.
Comments about Monster MIDI Cable:
These MIDI cables have three out of five pins hot, as advertised, but they're the WRONG three pins! The cables don't work for MIDI communication at all.
