Comments about Monster Rock™ Instrument Cable:

I've had SO many cables go bad in my years of playing...

I've used monster cables since the late 80's and I got these to not have to worry about the cables anymore!

        and I don't :)

Comments about Monster Rock™ Instrument Cable:

Great cables. No buzz or hum from electrical interference (transformer plugs and ground loops). Worth the extra money!

My only complaint would be that the shorter lengths and right-angles do NOT have that protective inner plastic surrounding the soldered connection on the plug. Out of all the cables I bought, only my 25ft straight angled cable has such protection. This is very important for the life of the cable, as this is where most cables go wrong. Having to solder a busted connection is a major pain, especially since I'm no pro with a soldering iron.

Comments about Monster Rock™ Instrument Cable:

After I bought this cable, I played for about 5 minutes on my previous Planet Waves cable. Regret that you couldn't see mine and my bass player face when I connected this Monster Rock Cable. Amazing!

Comments about Monster Rock™ Instrument Cable:

There's nothing but Monster Rock cords and patch cables in my guitar rig. From the guitar to the pedals, pre-amp, maximizer, tube amp, etc. No matter how nice your rig is it only sounds as good as your worst cable no matter where it is in the chain. Monster Performer 500 Speaker cables as well.

It's a lot of chick ching to get it all going but if your price it against other high end audio cables (including Monster 1000) you'll see it's WELL worth the investment. I also have a few back up cables to hold me over if the LIFETIME warrenty is EVER actually needed. I'll never buy another cable again thanks to Mosters we-tarded warrenty. I have no clue how these smart people made such a one time buyer out of me but whatever!

                 SAFETY TIPS

Important Monster® Performance and Safety Tips
                Listen Responsibly

To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on your music player is turned down before connecting your headphones. After placing headphones in your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB), exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss.

Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it. Refer to the chart* below.

This decibel (dB) table compares some common sounds and shows how they rank in potential harm to hearing.
                SoundNoise Level (dB)Effect
                Whisper30Very quiet
Quite Office50-60Comfortable hearing levels are under 60 dB

Garbage Truck, Cement Mixer100No more than 15 minutes of unprotected exposure recommended for sounds between 90-100 dB
Power Saw, Drill/Jackhammer110Regular exposure to sound over 100 dB of more than 1 minute risks permanent hearing loss
Rock Concerts (varies)110-140Threshold of pain begins around 125dB
"....a typical person can safely listen to an iPod for 4.6 hours per day at 70% volume."
"....knowing the levels one is listening to music at, and for how long is extremely important."

                Use Responsibly

Do not use headphones when it's unsafe to do so - while operating a vehicle, crossing streets, or during any activity or in an environment where your full attention to your surroundings is required.

It's dangerous to drive while wearing headphones, and in many places, illegal because it decreases your chances of hearing life-saving sounds outside of your vehicle, such as another car's horn and emergency vehicle sirens.

Please avoid wearing your headphones while driving. Use one of Monster's FM transmitters to listen to your mobile media devices instead.

Learn how to establish a safe listening level and review other important safety guidelines from the Consumer Electronics Association at www.ce.org and the Deafness Research Foundation at www.drf.org.
