Pro 3500

Features Monster’s Performance-Enhancing Solution for Music Professionals
Since 1979, Monster has provided high performance instrument and speaker cables to performing musicians and recording professionals around the world. In 1998, we introduced Monster Power, a complete line of affordable, audiophile-grade PowerCenters that provided better sound, and complete protection against electrical surges and spikes. Robert Harley and The Absolute Sound magazine said it best, "In my ten years as a reviewer, I’ve never heard as dramatic an improvement in sound quality for so little money as that rendered by Monster Power’s Home Theatre PowerCenter™ HTS 2000." Now, Monster has created a new line of Professional Power Centers for the musician, studio owner, installer, and backline tech. The PowerCenter PRO 3500 reflects Monster’s commitment to creating performance-enhancing solutions for music professionals.

Clean Power Stage 3More Than a Surge Protector
Ordinary AC power accessories don’t increase the performance of the equipment they power. The PowerCenter’s advanced technology and innovative design offers several patented convenience and performance features. While the new PowerCenter also does an excellent job of protecting your equipment from harmful power surges, its main performance benefit is much more than just surge protection. Our patented Clean Power™ filter circuitry (U.S. Pat. No. 6,473,510 B1) virtually stops noise that goes right through ordinary surge protectors.

Tri-Mode ProtectionRevolutionary Separate Noise Isolation Filtered Outlets
And since there is more than one type of noise that can degrade connected equipment, the PowerCenter features revolutionary separate noise isolation between digital and analog filtered outlets. If any noise from components sharing the powerline gets through one Clean Power filter, it will have to go through another filter to get to an adjacent set of outlets. The result is an extremely low noise floor without hum or buzz that allows all of the rich harmonics and tone to come through your performance.

As fellow musicians and audiophiles, we designed the PowerCenter to help achieve the best possible sound.

I used this to power a guitar rig. Shiva head, wireless receiver, RG-16 audio/amp switcher, G-Major 2, and a pedal board. No issues and I loved the way I could turn on/off and it would sequentially power up and power down my rack. Great!

Comments about PRO 3500 Rack Mountable PowerCenter™ with Clean Power™ Stage 3:

I kept upgrading to bigger and bigger models thinking maybe my sound system is just too powerful. I have gone through a few of the 3500 series. I keep overloading it and when I do, I hurry and plug into a $5 surge protector from [...] and it holds better than my $400 monster. I'm sorry, but to me that makes zero sense. I use and love Monster cords, but I just can't trust the power conditioners!

Comments about PRO 3500 Rack Mountable PowerCenter™ with Clean Power™ Stage 3:

This unit was in a stage rack supporting a 4 piece rock band.

Normal rack gear included mixer, vocal processor and feedback unit. Musician gear included 3 tube amps. Stage gear included 2 par 38 light strings. A very standard setup to say the least.

This unit died TWICE on two separate occasions (I received a replacement unit). Not good for professional musicians who depend on reliability. I'll be going back to the "other" rack power guys, you should too! Very disappointing.

               SAFETY TIPS

Important Monster® Performance and Safety Tips
              Listen Responsibly

To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on your music player is turned down before connecting your headphones. After placing headphones in your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB), exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss.

Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it. Refer to the chart* below.

This decibel (dB) table compares some common sounds and shows how they rank in potential harm to hearing.
              SoundNoise Level (dB)Effect
              Whisper30Very quiet
Quite Office50-60Comfortable hearing levels are under 60 dB
Vacuum Cleaner, Hair Dryer70Intrusive; interferes with telephone conversations
Food Blender85-9085 dB is the level at which hearing damage (8 hrs.) begins
Garbage Truck, Cement Mixer100No more than 15 minutes of unprotected exposure recommended for sounds between 90-100 dB
Power Saw, Drill/Jackhammer110Regular exposure to sound over 100 dB of more than 1 minute risks permanent hearing loss
Rock Concerts (varies)110-140Threshold of pain begins around 125dB
"....a typical person can safely listen to an iPod for 4.6 hours per day at 70% volume."
"....knowing the levels one is listening to music at, and for how long is extremely important."
              From http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2006/10/19/music-earphones.html
Get the most out of your equipment and enjoy great audio performance even at safe levels.
Our headphones will allow you to hear more details at lower volume levels than ever before.

              Use Responsibly

Do not use headphones when it's unsafe to do so - while operating a vehicle, crossing streets, or during any activity or in an environment where your full attention to your surroundings is required.

It's dangerous to drive while wearing headphones, and in many places, illegal because it decreases your chances of hearing life-saving sounds outside of your vehicle, such as another car's horn and emergency vehicle sirens.

Please avoid wearing your headphones while driving. Use one of Monster's FM transmitters to listen to your mobile media devices instead.

Learn how to establish a safe listening level and review other important safety guidelines from the Consumer Electronics Association at www.ce.org and the Deafness Research Foundation at www.drf.org.
