Comments about Monster Standard® THX-Certified Fiber Optic Digital Interconnect Cable:
The Monster THX Standard series stand out not so much for what they add to your picture and/or sound, but for what they TAKE AWAY. That sounds like a negative, but it's not. In my considerable experience, these cables--be they digital, analog, audio, or video--provide EXCELLENT rejection of signal-degrading Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI). These are the prime and desireable attributes of a good, solidly-built interconnect. You can pay much more for Monster's (or other brand's) "higher end" cables, but the added "benefits" of these are mainly on the marketing end. Being able to bear the official THX logo on a product means it meets certain standards of quality and design. That's all you need, and I'm speaking as one who works in the broadcasting industry.
