I got this to protect from power spikes and surges which we don't have in Missouri also didnt notice any improvement in picture and sound as they were already GREAT before, worked for nearly three years before biting the dust. The only good thing is that when it diedMonster sent me a brand new 7100 SS in its place due to being out of the 5100 SS, and so far been good for 2 years, but still not really any noticable improvement. For what these go for it should include a battery back-up built in for true protection from power outages!!! Buy a Furman, they are Quality...

Comments about Signature Series Home Theater Reference HTS 5100 MKII PowerCenter with Clean Power Stage 4:
This is my second HTS 5100 and first Signature series. Both are awesome units and do exactly what they claim: Improve picture and sound quality and stop any electric surge from harming your valuable electronics. I have never had one issue with either unit. Other components in my systems may come and go, but my two Monsters are here to stay.

HELLO AND GOOD DAY, 1) OK on the one person that toke apart the unit; "DUMB".If it still on warranty then let "THEM" fix it.2)build quality; very good.3)for the price give interchangeable face plate;from shiny to dark. Well I have had mine for about 3+ yrs. And this thing has worked hard so many times; that you can see voltage fluctuations and quick spikes. And when the power goes out and it do what it suppose to do; and a lot of times it did do.

Comments about Signature Series Home Theater Reference HTS 5100 MKII PowerCenter with Clean Power Stage 4:
I use this in my home theater , I had an HTS 3500 which I now use with other equipment . I was very happy with the 3500 , I could hear the benefit on thr audio side , I could also see the benefit on the flat screen picture quality . The 5100 was a noticeable improvement in both areas , and enough that I will get the 7100 next . Great addition for the Movie Buff , Audiophile or even Channel Surfer . I am all three ! A serious improvement to my entertainment experience , and once you have the clean and stabile power you always have it ! Never worry about future audio video or speaker purchases , My system looks and sounds just like the ones in the store .
