BERLIN, GERMANY, August 31, 2012 – Monster, the world leader in power conditioning and surge protection products, will be showcasing its new line of Monster Power® Featuring new Green Power™ products and other energy-saving devices at IFA 2012. Products to be featured at IFA include two Green Power PowerCenters™ at more affordable price points: one with German (Schuko) outlets, Model AV 550G+ DE (MSRP €69.95), and one with UK Outlets Model AV 550G+ UK (MSRP: £64.95). There will also be another four new models that will provide a clear step-up to these new green products: Model AV 500 DE (MSRP: €44.95 ), Model AV 500 UK (MSRP: £39.95), Model PRT 500 DE (MSRP: €34.95), Model PRT 500 UK (MSRP: £32.95). Monster has PowerCenters available for Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Monster Green Power is a simple, efficient way for consumers to automatically reduce vampire load energy drains and save money. Key to the effectiveness of Monster’s AV 550G+ DE and AV 550G+ UK PowerCenters is a special Green Power Outlet Management system that works automatically to eliminate energy waste in connected computer systems. Users simply plug their computer into the Green Power Control outlet, then plug their additional connected computer peripherals (printer, monitor, scanner, loudspeakers, etc.) into the specially marked Monster Green Power Controlled outlets. When the computer or TV is turned off or switched to Standby, the other Green Power outlets automatically switch off, eliminating the energy wasted by peripheral components when they’re not in use. When the computer or TV turns back on, the Green Power outlets automatically power the peripherals up again. To ensure uninterrupted power to electronic components that require it, all Monster Green Power PowerCenters also include outlets that are not connected to the Green Power feature.
