Monster ControlTalk Music Phone Compatibility Guide
The Monster ControlTalk device is a small remote attached to the cable of Monster Headphones that are labeled "With ControlTalk." ControlTalk is designed to give you music and movie playback control on your iPod, iPhone and music phone, as well as hands-free calling through your headphones and a built-in mic. However, ControlTalk only provides full playback functionality (play/pause, tracking forward/back, scanning forward/back and volume control) on iPhone 3G S and newer iPods (see iPod compatibility below), with limited functionality on other devices and earlier generation iPhones and iPods.
We have tested several music phones to give you a better understanding of what Monster ControlTalk will and will not control on your device. We will continue testing phones as they come out. Please note that we have only tested phones that feature a standard 3.5 mm headphone port, which is the format that Monster Headphones plug into. We have not tested phones that feature proprietary ports or USB-based ports.
