Lee Ritenour

Jazz Guitarist Extraordinaire
Lee Ritenour first picked up the guitar at age 6, and has since established himself as one of the world's leading jazz guitarists over the past three decades. His album, Smoke n' Mirrors, was released by GRP in late summer 2006. The album has a World Music vibe, reflecting his extensive travel around the world last year and features some of the finest of African and Brazilian musicians.
Starting in 1976 at the age of 24, Ritenour began his own solo career, which now totals over 30 albums and collaborations, as well as sitting in as a hired gun for some 3,000 sessions, including notable performances for the likes of Herbie Hancock, Steely Dan, Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins and Pink Floyd. His solo efforts have achieved Top 10 status on Billboard's Jazz charts and earned him 10 Grammy nominations. Along the way, Ritenour has received 17 Grammy nominations, and earned several gold albums. In 1985, he recorded the magnificent Harlequin album with GRP co-owner Dave Grusin.
Lee Ritenour has joined a growing list of music industry notables embracing Monster Cable technologies. In an announcement made by Monster Cable President Noel Lee, the Famous Monster program considers Ritenour's rousing endorsement a definite feather in the Monster cap. Lee has always been a favorite of the millions of people using Monster Cable in their home systems. It's just so natural that he would use our ProLink products in the wonderful music he creates. We're proud to have him on board."
