Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty

Since the 1996 release of Matchbox Twenty's first album Yourself or Someone Like You the band has one of the most popular bands of the next decade with a unique sound and personality. The band is currently on a hiatus, as lead singer Rob Thomas takes a successful solo break.

But Matchbox Twenty's last release Mad Season contained its first No. 1 single, Bent. "When we made our first record, we hadn't really been a band for very long," explains Thomas. "But now, so much has happened to us that we've formed a character within ourselves. So this is really the first time we're saying, 'This is Matchbox Twenty making a record,' because now Matchbox Twenty is its own entity. This is the first one where we can really say, this is our sound."

And Monster is part of that sound on the stage and in the studio. When you've spent the over 600 days on the road and hundreds of hours in the studio that Matchbox Twenty has, you know the importance of professional quality cable. For the best possible sound and durability Monster Cable is the only real choice.
