One of the mid-1970s' most beloved "Power Pop" bands, Cheap Trick is still going strong, hitting dates this year on both sides of the Atlantic in support of their new CD, Rockford (named after their home town), which gets released June 6. One of Homer Simpson's favorite bands, Cheap Trick has a knack for combining catchy riffs and infinitely hummable choruses in the span of less than 4 minutes.
On 1977's In Color and 1978's Heaven Tonight Cheap Trick perfected the formula with hit singles "Surrender" and "I Want You To Want Me" - nearly quarter-century-old classics that still creep into movies. Cheap Trick Live At Budakon stayed on the album charts for a full year. Cheap Trick was voted among the top 25 hard rock artists by journalists, fellow musicians and music business professionals.
Whether they're in the studio working with such greats as George Martin and Todd Rundgren, or knocking out audiences with their sold out shows, they always wake up with a Monster. When you're as picky about quality and tone as these guys are, only Monster Cable will cut it.
