MONSTER IN THE COMMUNITY
Segs 4 Vets
What is Segs4Vets?
The Segway is a personal transportation vehicle that you stand on and control with intuitive body movements. It's currently in use by police officers and postal workers. A few years ago, an all volunteer organization called Segs4Vets recognized the tremendous benefit a Segway would provide to the men and women of the United States military whose service in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom resulted in permanent disability and difficulty walking.
Monster and Segs4Vets
In 2010, Seg4Vets caught the eye of Head Monster, Noel Lee, a Segway devotee. "It can be life-changing. The alternative is being in a wheelchair." Sympathizing strongly with the Monsterous attitudes of our disabled warriors, Noel recognized the tremendous value of the Segway in restoring mobility and dignity and made a large commitment to the cause.
Says Mr. Lee: "As a family owned company, it has always been important for us to give something back to the communities in which we do business throughout the country. We also understand that with so many of our brave servicemen and women overseas, and with so many injured veterans here at home, it has never been more important for us to support our country and our armed services."

Jerry Kerr, the President of Segs4Vets agrees, "Our wounded warriors have many unmet needs and the Segs4Vets program was started not to be just a gift, but as a tool which would allow those, who refuse to be defined by their disability to not only live the highest quality of life possible but to fulfill their dreams and to continue to serve this great nation. The Segway has proven its value and helped restore dignity, independence and mobility to hundreds."
