DJ Qbert, a star of the San Francisco’s Eighties DJ battle scene, is one of the most well known DJ’s in the world. He’s played with Mix Master Mike, was part of the Rock Steady Crew and was a founding member of the Skratch Piklz who were the first group to apply the band concept to turntablism. He is credited for championing the turntable as a musical instrument and has invented more scratching techniques than any other DJ in history. As a creator of custom scratch records, designer of Vestax mixers and turntable/mixer combinations, Qbert is far more than just a DJ and is sought after for his input on DJ products and video games from leading companies worldwide.
