Eric Wright, better known as DJ Chilly E, is an American DJ, producer, and radio personality originally from Brooklyn New York. He originally jumped into the music scene as a rapper, and at age 15, he and his crew of battled other neighborhood crews for money, beer, stereo equipment or just bragging rights. After enlisting in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, at age 19 he found himself stationed at Coleman Barracks in Mannheim, Germany. There he started ‘spinning’ at NCO clubs and private parties. He eventually left the army to pursue music full-time. He eventually started DJing and honing his skills on the turntables. Working as a radio DJ for 15 years, DJ Chilly E has also supported various artists on their European tours, such as R. Kelly, K-Ci & JoJo, Keith Sweat, Lords of the Underground, Ryan Leslie, DJ Unk, Franchise Boyz, Lil Jon, Fatman Scoop, Method Man, Redman, Horace Brown, RZA, Joe, DJ Kool and Usher. With a DJ career spanning over 2 decades, he is currently the most recognizable voice on German Urban Radio and a skilled live DJ.
