If you have never heard of Little Joe, then you should have. As a quintessential influence on the California punk rock scene, Joe has been kicking out the hardcore bass lines since 1987. He became well known by deeply rooting his low frequency foundation in the Santa Barbara “prog-punk” band RKL (Rich Kids On LSD). By age 17, Joe had already toured Europe and recorded his first album with RKL. Joe also toured and recorded with The Real Mckenzies and co-produced an album alongside Fat Mike from NOFX. He also wrote songs, and played several instruments on the record including bass, upright bass, guitars & keyboards. Currently, you can also catch Joe in the band King City, described by SF Weekly as: “a bunch of beer-fueled guys weaned on punk and hardcore playing an exotic blend of Latin, swing, mariachi, and Django Reinhardt-style Gypsy jazz”. King City is a must band that usually ends up in a musical beer fueled roller coaster ride. Joe also plays with Lagwagon and The Dwarves.
